Human Rights Research Final

You will be doing research on a human rights issue of your choice. You may work alone or in a group of 2-3.
Topic_____________________________________________________________

You are responsible for finding at least two articles. You must each then take notes on these articles in your own words using the research log I’ve given you.
For your research you must find information from credible human rights organizations. Links to these organizations are on our class blog!

·      Amnesty International
·      The Anti Defamation League
·      Concern Worldwide
·      Southern Poverty Law Center
·      Youth for Human Rights
·      Human Rights Watch
·      Facing History

Once your research is complete, you will be creating a presentation.
Presentation Requirements:
  1. Two research logs from each student in the group attached to a copy of the actual articles.
  2. A poster that uses images and text written by you.
  3. A quiz for the other students to take when you have finished your presentation, so that you can see if they really understood the main ideas of your topic.  These tests will be graded and will count! They should consist of 10 questions: multiple choice and/or fill in the blank with a word bank.
  4. A glossary of five key terms we need to know in order to better understand this topic.  You will make a poster and a handout for your glossary.
  5. A presentation: you must present your topic to a group of people.  In your presentation you will tell the group about your topic and what you have learned.
You will receive a grade for your presentation using the rubric below.
